Who You Will Work With:  

The vacant Senior Project Manager role will report to the Leader, Agile Practice. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful execution and delivery of complex workstreams/initiatives/projects/capabilities within our organization.

What You Will Do:  

  • Hands-on planning and delivery of product (business) and technology initiatives that span the domains of product development, software development, infrastructure and security. 

  • Leading the development of integrated delivery plans and driving the successful orchestration of dependencies and prioritization with delivery squads. 

  • Actively engaging with Product Owners, Service Owners, domain leads, executive leaders, and external partners to enable effective and impactful decisions, facilitate coordination and alignment across various stakeholders, and to facilitate prioritization of initiatives, epics, and stories within the corresponding backlogs. 

  • Partnering with key leaders, the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Agile Practice, and working teams across the organization to provide insights and visibility into delivery progress, risks, issues, and metrics. 

  • Proactively identify risks, designing and executing mitigation strategies to avoid issues, and effectively escalating as needed. 

  • Enabling achievement of initiatives within and across working teams through effective change management practices (scope, timeline, financials), clearly communicating objectives and coordinating milestone check-ins. 

  • Using personal influence and encouraging the use of Agile and delivery mindset practices and tools to accelerate change. 

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline efforts and refine processes. 

 

What You Bring: 

  • Delivery Leadership: Contribute to the planning of initiatives, and responsible for driving the planning and execution of epics and stories, ensuring alignment with delivery frameworks. 

  • Dependency Management: Accountable for proactively identifying, tracking, and resolving internal and external dependencies and risks to delivery. This includes managing cross-team dependencies (between various squads or various Product Owners), vendor relationships, regulatory requirements, identifying and communicating resource constraints. 

  • Delivery Management: Responsible for overseeing the delivery of epics and stories, facilitating the prioritization and sequencing of work with contributing squads and teams. 

  • Product Alignment: Engage with Product Owners and Service Owners to align sprint, quarterly, and annual plans with identified dependencies and delivery activities. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and managing expectations. This includes proactively communicating dependency impacts and negotiating solutions across squads/products as appropriate 

  • Team Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between teams, resolving dependencies and impediments to ensure seamless delivery. 

  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and practices. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. 

  • Experience with dependency management tools and techniques. 

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, PMP) are a plus. 

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

 The hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
