Senior Project Manager - Additive

Location: Stryker Anngrove, Cork. This is Strykers Global Centre of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing.

Contract: 23 month

Role Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for project and stakeholder management, leadership of cross‑functional engineering teams, and execution of all assigned projects with a specific focus on downstream manufacturing processes (cleaning, sterilization, labelling, packaging, machining, finishing, and inspection).
The Senior Project Manager will lead complex, high‑visibility programmes and projects, ensuring delivery to timeline, budget, and regulatory/quality requirements. The role will also drive process capability, technology implementation, and operational readiness across downstream operations.

Talents we are looking for:

  • Self‑directed leaders. People who take ownership of their work, anticipate challenges, and proactively drive productivity, change, and outcomes.

  • Strategic thinkers. People who analyse data, capacity, and downstream process trends to support planning, forecasting, technology decisions, and operational readiness.

  • Collaborative partners. People who build and leverage strong cross‑functional relationships across Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT and Digital teams to drive continuous improvement.

What you will be doing?

  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of downstream‑focused manufacturing programmes and projects.

  • Lead complex new process and technology implementation initiatives specifically related to downstream manufacturing—including cleaning, sterilization, labelling, packaging, machining, finishing, and inspection—while effectively managing capital and expense budgets.

  • Define and clarify project scope; develop and maintain integrated project schedules; ensure accurate progress tracking, reporting, and effective communication to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Digital and IT teams to drive successful implementation. Engage Manufacturing Operations early to ensure readiness, alignment, and a smooth transfer of new technologies and processes into routine operations.

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, particularly those impacting downstream readiness, validation, compliance, capacity, or product release.

  • Establish clear priorities and impart a strong sense of urgency to project teams while applying advanced project management tools, processes, and governance to support effective delivery.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise downstream workflow, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste or bottlenecks.

  • All other duties as assigned.

What you will need?

  • Bachelor’s degree, with 5+ years’ experience in a technical and/or project management role; experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience within NPI and/or new technology and process introduction. Downstream manufacturing experience (cleaning, sterilization, packaging, machining, finishing, inspection) is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and effectively manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
