What we need
We are looking for a highly motivated IT Project Manager for Infrastructure with experience managing complex, multi-tiered environments. Overall, the IT team is responsible for the implementation of the IT infrastructure that is delivered as part of Symbolics' robotics solutions. The Senior IT Project Manager responsibilities include the oversight of the team who build and install the site MDFs, IDFs, network infrastructure, Low Voltage Cabling (LVC), wireless network, and the operational handoff to the testing & Commissioning team. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will support the initial operational transition to a live site and remain in support and contact with the greater site team until the environment is fully productionized.
This position will report to the Head of the Project Management team.
What you’ll do
Plan, track and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate well with internal and external audiences & operations support teams.
Work with various lead vendors and coordinate the timing of project activities.
Ensure all projects are documented thoroughly and accurately & prepare weekly reports (via template).
Collaborate with other teams on planning, design and release of new products or updates to existing ones.
Participate in Stage Gate meetings representing IT throughout the project workflow
Oversee troubleshooting specific installation issues while maintaining key milestones.
Manage high pressure, timeline driven site scenarios while building trust with all stakeholders.
Oversee multiple projects, across multiple stages simultaneously.
Attend daily site meetings and develop relationships with site leads, site PM and the customer.
Ability to understand simple & complex technical issues and bring people to the table for issue resolution.
What you’ll need
Minimum of 8 years of IT Project Management experience
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Hands on background with infrastructure leadership, having overseen large, demanding project builds around infrastructure set up, testing and deployment.
Strong understanding of how infrastructure works (network, servers, routers/switches, storage, wireless, fiber cables & copper wiring.)
Previous Project Management background involving infrastructure for facility builds, datacenter builds, manufacturing, etc.
Previous work experience managing to a Project Plan, key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
Energetic and able to keep pace in large warehouse settings with infrastructure and robotic equipment, colleagues, and vendors.
Handle escalations, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Experience using project management tasking/ticketing systems including JIRA.
Previous working experience with Smartsheet.
Experience with Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint & Excel.
Our environment
Travel is required: must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client locations. Our HQ & main plant is in Wilmington, MA; however, the person taking this position will be required to perform work at our customer installation locations at the time when equipment is installed or built.
We expect travel to be up to 25% of the time.
Evening and weekend work is only expected on rare occasions.
A small portion of time will be spent on a construction site with PPE required.
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $125,000.00 - $171,600.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.Top Skills
