We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager who is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project execution from initiation through completion for a construction/facilities project. This includes developing detailed project plans, managing resources, maintaining budgets and schedules, and ensuring that deliverables meet contractual and stakeholder requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep project management expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle management of programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Define program scope, schedule, deliverables, and budget; monitor progress to meet targets.
- Manage stakeholder communications, report status, and present key updates to senior leadership.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to team members; may supervise lower-level professionals.
- Implement and drive process improvements across program operations.
- Evaluate program performance against objectives and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with task leads, functional managers, and subcontractors.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Manages very highly complex projects from cradle to grave to include estimating, planning, and scheduling of multimillion dollar efforts.
- Coordinates SOWs for sub contractors and conducts the selection with sub contracts to ensure the sub contractor has the required certification or specialties required.
- Prepares senior level briefing packages to the customer.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in program or project management
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs in the area of construction/facilities management.
- Expertise in:
- Program and project management
- Program implementation and evaluation
- Project planning, execution, and reporting
- Risk and resource management
- Process improvement and change management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Prior customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex environments
- Experience mentoring or managing junior professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification
- Experience managing programs in regulated, government, or defense environments
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or other iterative development methodologies
- Prior experience with program financials and P&L accountability
- Experience developing and presenting project proposals to senior stakeholders
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet)
- Change management expertise, including stakeholder engagement and implementation planning
