Based in Athens, our team is now expanding rapidly through ambitious projects in defense-grade digital systems, swarm robotics, AI, and custom software solutions.
We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager who will lead a cross-functional team to design, build, and deliver complex solutions, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with both client and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of research and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with strategic and technical goals
- Define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources from initiation to completion
- Translate technical requirements, research objectives, and customer specifications into actionable, testable project plans
- Drive the daily execution of projects by coordinating interdisciplinary teams, assigning tasks, removing roadblocks, and ensuring clear accountability
- Maintain and update project documentation, including Gantt charts, milestones, KPIs, risk registers, and progress reports
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clients, research partners, suppliers) to ensure consistent communication, progress tracking, and issue resolution
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier management for prototype development, testing, and production readiness (where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, security requirements, and regulatory frameworks across all project phases
- Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven reports and presentations to management, and relevant stakeholders
- Mentor junior project managers and support continuous improvement within IKH PMO processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years managing complex research and/or commercial projects, ideally involving multidisciplinary teams
- Proven experience leading EU-funded, R&D, or Defense-sector projects with structured reporting and deliverable management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)
- Excellent organizational, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Strategic and critical thinker with a results-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English is required
Nice to have:
- Master’s degree in Project Management, or Business Administration
- PMP/PRINCE2 certification
- Experience with Security & Defense, AI, robotics, or big data projects
- Previous experience in coordinating R&D Projects, and in managing consortia
