As part of our Agribusiness team, you’ll help our customers leverage technology and data insights to connect upstream and downstream and optimize profitability, efficiency and insights. TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work with some of our key customer. The focus is the organisation of team assets and resources, administering a number of key tasks to achieve a specific customer goal. The Project Manager will focus on people (customer and internal teams), monitoring individual Project tasks, creating and monitoring Project/Programme budgets, applying and ensuring compliance with Project schedules and all other administrative activities which must be carried out to achieve a specific Project/customer goal.
Here's how:
- Depending on scope and complexity, manage up to four highly complex projects and some moderate to simple complexity projects a year.
- Request demand and review resource allocation for project, program, and/or portfolio.
- Participate in communicating impacts regarding capacity and demand.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
- Manage all phases of the project through the Project Delivery process.
- Budget management from inception to completion, including forecasts.
- Maintain compliance with corporate and public regulations.
- Perform data analysis relevant to project tasks.
- Request resource demand and review resource allocation for projects.
- Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project schedule.
- Effectively communicate project status — including schedule variances and mitigation options.
What you bring to this role:
- .A background in IT Products Implementation approaches and frameworks of a SaaS business, and understanding of software implementation methodologies and practices, in particular, Agile.
- General experience in Project Management and Process improvement.
- Ability to lead Project setup discussions and prepare detailed Project Plans, including budget calculations.
- Experience in Project tracking using standard tools, and ability to analyse data, evaluate and track the project.
- Strong project delivery skills — accurate project planning, delivers to milestone dates, manages resources effectively, communicates status effectively, manages risks, and can juggle multiple activities in order to accomplish goals.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once of various size and duration.
- Ability to prioritise, collaborate and negotiate.
- Detail orientated with excellent communication skills, ability to troubleshoot and prioritise
