CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Highway & Rail Team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will lead complex transportation initiatives that improve roadway and rail networks, support community growth, and create lasting infrastructure solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to drive project success, mentor team members, and help expand CHA's transportation presence throughout the region.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead complex highway and rail projects, managing scope, schedule, financial performance, budget, risk, and client relationships across all project phases
  • Serve as a seller-doer by building trusted client partnerships, identifying new transportation opportunities, and supporting marketing plans for target markets
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams through the delivery of rehabilitation and major capital improvement projects that support safer, more reliable, and user-friendly transportation networks
  • Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
  • Oversee proposals, project plans, schedules, cost controls, change documentation, submittals, and closeout materials across multiple projects
  • Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field required
  • Minimum of 11 years of transportation engineering experience required, including 8 years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required
  • Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
  • Ability to solve problems with urgency and independently drive initiatives from concept to completion while overseeing multiple projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiences and work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to travel as needed required
  • PMP certification, PE or equivalent professional license preferred

Salary Range:

$160,000 - $180,000


Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
