Salary Range: $108,620 - $135,775 per annum
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Status: Permanent Full-time. Contingent on continued funding.

Position Summary: 

The Senior Project Manager is a leader within the Connected Care portfolio, reporting to the Director, Outpatient Strategy.  UHN is embarking on it's first enterprise-wide outpatient strategic action plan representing more than 300 clinic areas and this role will have a hand in shaping its direction and success. The role(s) will initially focus on Digital & Clinical delivery and adoption across UHN’s outpatient environment. This work supports the broader strategic vision of advancing integrated and patient-centered care across the continuum. 

The Senior Project Manager(s) will lead large-scale implementation and work closely with healthcare providers, system administrators, and interest holders across the organization and, as needed, Toronto region. They will facilitate working groups, steering committees, and advisory bodies to co-design and implement innovative models of care enabled by digital solutions. 

The Senior Project Manager(s) will ensure that Connected Care initiatives are delivered effectively, sustainably, and in alignment with UHN’s strategic goals and values. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion within a multi-disciplinary team, monitoring deliverables to ensure high-quality and on-budget completion. 

  • Mobilize and guide a high-performing team to advance strategic initiatives within Connected Care and across UHN 

  • Drive change management and stakeholder communications, maintaining a strong customer service focus across diverse internal and external groups. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders at all levels to support successful project and program outcomes. 

  • Monitor stakeholder engagement and project progress, proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues. 

  • Oversee human resource functions including recruitment, staff development, performance management, and issue resolution in collaboration with People and Culture and leadership. 

  • Manage program budgets in partnership with finance teams. 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree required in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field is preferred 

  • PMP and Change Management designation an asset  

  • Minimum 6 -10 years Healthcare Project and Management experience 

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large, complex projects, preferably in a public-sector environment with multiple stakeholders is preferred 

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate both project and change management methodologies effectively 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management from both internal and external healthcare organizations, and project stakeholders 

  • Excellent ability to anticipate and analyze risks and issues, explore alternatives, develop appropriate recommendations with project team, subject matter experts and present approach to senior leadership 

  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize multiple conflicting priorities 

  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills 

  • Supervisory or managerial experience 

  • Ability to perform in multiple roles which contribute to project, operational or strategic goals/initiatives 

  • Strong tactical and good critical strategic thinking 

  • Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

  • Strong presentation, writing, and/or training skills 

  • Excellent team building skills, listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills 

  • Proficient use of computer, software, and peripheral equipment, i.e., Windows, MS Office, MS Mail/Outlook, MS Project
