We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters to join our team. The Remediation Centre of Excellence requires an experienced Senior Project Manager. We’re looking for an individual who can think on their feet and ask the right questions, who has strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire a team and delivery effectively.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

 

Responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of remediation projects across a portfolio of work, this role spans the full project lifecycle from inception through to close-down. Key responsibilities include supporting project scoping, planning, estimating, and change delivery, while ensuring successful execution against agreed plans, timelines, and quality standards. The role requires the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, maintain momentum, and provide regular updates to the Programme Lead on progress, financial performance, risks, issues, and any changes to delivery plans.

 

Working closely with multiple teams across Customer Resolutions and operational functions, the role demands strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, and the ability to navigate differing priorities and demands. Projects may range from initial customer-facing activities through to close-down and continuous improvement initiatives. A key focus is ensuring that solutions are successfully implemented and deliver the intended outcomes for customers. This includes supporting the selection and application of appropriate delivery methodologies, ensuring deliverables are fit for purpose and aligned to defined business objectives.

 

The role also carries responsibility for driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business performance, efficiency, and project outcomes. This includes proactively identifying, communicating, and resolving risks and issues, as well as capturing, sharing, and implementing lessons learned. Success depends on strong collaboration across the organisation to ensure work is delivered on time, to the required quality standards, and in alignment with remediation principles and governance frameworks. In addition, the role involves the performance and task management of a team of Project Managers, providing leadership, direction, and support to achieve programme objectives.


 

About you

 

As a minimum, you must have:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering remediation portfolio

  • Extensive knowledge of leading medium/large complex projects end to end from inception, demand planning through to benefits realisation which have delivered compelling and measurable outcomes

  • Critical thinking capability, with ability to comprehend and assimilate information rapidly, break down complex problems, and provide pragmatic solutions

  • Proven capability in building and leading high-performing teams either through direct or matrix teams, underpinned by strong influencing, negotiation and relationship management capabilities

  • Experience of performance and task management of Project Managers and project team

  • Knowledge and experience of working with different change methodologies e.g., Agile and experience of robust governance and reporting frameworks

  • Proven experience of working with stakeholders at different levels including identifying, engaging, managing expectations and communicating with confidence

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to challenge and influence where required including production of reporting up to Director level

  • The ability to lead teams whilst working with ambiguity and delivering at pace
