About the role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering projects across the Optum product suite. This includes Radiology, Cardiology, Workflow, Business Intelligence, infrastructure upgrades, and bespoke solutions tailored to customer needs. Projects typically fall into a number of categories: new installations, upgrades, add-ons and requests to meet unique client requirements. This is your opportunity to lead transformative and large-scale healthcare IT initiatives that directly improve patient care and operational efficiency.
This role operates in a telecommuter working model with attendance as needed in Dublin office for meetings. There will be occasional travel to client sites.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead system implementations and professional services projects from initiation through to close out.
- Deliver technical, infrastructure and professional services projects, which could include but are not limited to scoping and delivering unique client requirements, business intelligence, infrastructure upgrades, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Cardiology
- Scope, plan, and manage delivery to meet timelines, quality standards, and budgets
- Manage internal and external stakeholders across public & private healthcare sectors
- Create and maintain project documentation (e.g. scope, PID's plans, budgets, milestones)
- Apply change management to ensure budget control and revenue optimization
- Forecast project timelines and revenue profiles
- Establish governance and produce clear delivery reporting
- Proactively manage risks and issues
- Support Sales with tenders and related activities

Required Qualifications:
- Degree in IT, Healthcare, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven end-to-end delivery experience of clinical systems projects
- Project leadership and stakeholder management skills, with accountability for scope, budget, and timelines
- Experience managing projects within healthcare technology environments
- Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or equivalent)
- Experience delivering from a vendor to public sector healthcare system e.g. HSE / NHS
- Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vendor-side or healthcare consulting experience with public sector clients
- Agile delivery experience
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and/or Smartsheets
