About the role
Why the job exists
- To ensure the successful delivery of client projects – with central focus on quality and project profitability.
- To assess and implement processes alongside the Delivery Team and ensure they are followed and optimised where needed.
- This role includes co-ordinating and managing projects as well as reporting on and adhering to key business processes such as resourcing and forecasting.
What the job covers
- Manages assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion against deadlines, brief, and budget.
- Co-ordinates project set-up & kick-offs, to ensure projects are off to a good start.
- Checks in regularly with key resources and stakeholders (client leads, technical leads, product leads, whole teams, etc.) to unearth and resolve project issues early.
- Is the first point of escalation for project issues and works to resolve them with the team, the various project leads, and client stakeholders where necessary; escalates further as appropriate.
- Proactively builds relationships with client stakeholders and is available to provide guidance, issue resolution, and comfort during important or challenging project stages.
- Manages resourcing across projects to ensure the best use of billable talent.
- Contributes to new business activities, particularly pitch development and pitch delivery.
- Monitors all budget and production activity on assigned projects and communicates status of each project to appropriate agency and client personnel to meet project deadlines.
What you’ll do
Team management & Leadership
- Acts as the team leader on all assigned projects.
- Maintains communications with appropriate agency and client personnel to ensure positive workflow. Escalating exceptions and issues to Director level as required.
- Educates clients and managing their needs and expectations.
- Keeps project status reports up to date.
- Monitors and enforces project constraints (schedule / scope / resources).
- Champions internal systems for higher productivity working.
- Drives projects to final stages of completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated.
- Collaborates effectively in delivering against critical metrics for our business.
Enforcing best practice
- Manages assigned projects, involved with client projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion against deadlines.
- Provides and maintains projects status – liaising with development teams, designers, and commercial staff to provide accurate updates of project statuses.
- Project quality assurance – tests and reviews output, reviewing outputted deliverables against scope.
- Asset Management, sourcing through to final delivery.
- Initiates and leads all appropriate project meetings.
Financial & Administrative:
- Monitors all internal and external costs for assigned projects.
- Manages project resourcing and forecasting, accordingly, reporting to Client Services Leads on revenue for each month.
- Manages vendors and talent on assigned projects – briefing, purchase orders, monitor actual vs. budgeted costs.
- Manages the production of new business presentations and materials as assigned.
- Manages agency internal projects and assist in preparing materials for creative presentations and meetings.
- Works with Client Services Leads to ensure proper billing and invoicing.
