We are a team of passionate and knowledgeable colleagues dedicated to developing next-generation technologies. With significant changes anticipated in the construction sector in the coming years we hold a unique position to influence and lead this evolution. ROCKWOOL Group R&D comprises around 140 individuals, and your immediate team consists of 12 close colleagues focused on new products and technologies.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Project Manager in Product Development, you’ll lead and oversee complex, high-impact projects, collaborating with a team of specialists and project managers.

Your mission will be to set strategic goals, inspire your team, and ensure successful project completion with a focus on innovation and excellence.

You’ll work closely with other senior project managers and a Technical Area Manager, contributing significantly to the organization’s overall success.

Consider yourself the keystone, coordinating internal resources and external vendors to execute projects seamlessly. Your focus will be on delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while also mentoring junior project managers.

Engage with stakeholders across ROCKWOOL, from R&D labs to production. You’ll also actively participate in on-site project implementation and provide strategic insights.

Expect 20-40 days of annual travel, primarily within Europe, as you oversee projects across ROCKWOOL’s global operations.

What you bring

  • You are self-motivated and self-starting with excellent planning and strategic thinking skills.

  • With extensive intercultural experience, you bring a high impact and result-oriented approach to your work.

  • Even in the face of uncertainty, your leadership will guide projects toward success.

  • You have a minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably within R&D in the building sector or like.

  • Your track record demonstrates your ability to navigate uncertainty and drive successful outcomes.

  • A degree in engineering, architecture or a related field.

  • As a strong communicator, you’ll motivate your team, liaise with stakeholders, and keep everyone informed.

  • Thriving in dynamic environments, you’re adept at steering projects even when faced with ambiguity.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a must.
