ABOUT THE ROLEAre you passionate about driving impactful and innovative product development? Would you like to play a key role in shaping the future of packaging for some of the world’s most iconic spirits brands? Then this might be the right assignment for you.
This 8-month temporary position sits within Pernod Ricards Global R&D team and works with Absolut, Malibu & Kahlúa. As Senior Project Manager R&D, you will be the Operations project lead for a portfolio of Product Development projects, spanning Innovation, Core Brand, Market-driven, and Design-to-Value initiatives.
About the team
You will join a dynamic, international and highly collaborative NPD team that works in close partnership with Global Innovation, Brand teams, R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Compliance and external suppliers. Acting as the “spider in the web”, you ensure that projects move forward with clarity, alignment and operational excellence.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead planning, scheduling and execution of NPD and technical projects, ensuring delivery on time, cost and with the right quality.
- Apply Stage‑Gate methodology to secure structured project governance and milestone validation.
- Conduct feasibility assessments, pre‑studies, risk analysis and drive mitigation plans to ensure project continuity.
2. Portfolio & System Management
- Ensure accurate and timely project tracking in relevant systems and tools.
- Provide visibility on progress, risks and resource needs to support informed decision‑making.
- Maintain structured documentation and ensure compliance with PMO standards.
3. Cross‑functional Coordination
- Act as the main Operations/technical contact point for Marketing and Innovation teams.
- Coordinate inputs across R&D, Packaging, Liquid Development, Procurement, Quality/Regulatory, Manufacturing, Engineering and external partners.
- Support alignment across all functions throughout the full project lifecycle.
4. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify and assess technical and operational risks and escalate critical issues where needed.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality and process requirements.
- Support compliance activities for packaging, labelling and product readiness.
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with all project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, risk summaries and key decision points.
- Facilitate alignment and ensure projects meet strategic and operational priorities.

Who we think will fit in this role:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in project management within FMCG, preferably Operations, Engineering, Production or Product/Packaging Development.
- Solid understanding of branding, packaging and ideally the spirits industry.
- Strong analytical capability and structured working methods.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects with many stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Cooperative, flexible, goal- and action-oriented; strong problem-solving skills.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
