is seeking a seasoned project management professional in the Boston/Cambridge marketwith 7+ years of directly relevant experience in the real estate design and construction industry to interface and support our activity in the region. This critical role will deliver unparalleled client service in leading the project team of architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors and other professionals through the process of strategic real estate planning, design and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement build outs and facilities assignments.  Experience in Healthcare, High Technology, and/or other Utility/Technology industry sectors is a plus.   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Management or a related field
  • 7+years of directly-related development and project management experience, with specific experience as outlined above
  • Experience working as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing the interests of the real estate owner or tenant
  • Experience managing project teams successfully through all phases of the development and construction process
  • Actively networked within the Boston local real estate building and development market, specifically with respect to developers, architects, contractors, engineers, and specialty consultants
  • Possess an intimate knowledge of the general business conditions and political environment within Boston, Cambridge and the surrounding areas

  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and other construction-related and business professionals
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project controls, project management, construction documentation and sequencing
  • Possess working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value-engineering techniques and building/occupancy laws and lease requirements
  • Demonstrate skills in managing successful projects and consistently meeting/exceeding client expectations and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and web-based project management tools (e.g. Bluebeam).

  • Establish initial project strategies, including major milestones, issues & risks, contract/vendor approaches
  • Lead due diligence and entitlement efforts for acquisitions and/or existing properties; assemble teams, manage schedule, scope, budget, produce necessary summary/reports
  • Provide design and GC procurement oversight on projects
  • Perform detailed reviews and approvals of all monthly project draw packages
  • Primary city and jurisdictional interface on the client’s behalf
  • Perform lease/work letter review, providing input/feedback on proposed modifications, and coordinate the production of necessary lease exhibits

  • Assist in preparation of client dashboards & industry reports, and actively participate in related meetings
  • Review and validate all monthly financial information and reports before submission to the client
  • Provide project updates, strategy recommendations & respond to urgent requests from client executives

  • Provide leadership to PMA project teams
  • Provide timely coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to PMA team members
  • Develop strong working relationships with subject matter experts throughout the firm
  • Promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics in our client service delivery

  • Actively participate in business development activities for PMA and/or our clients
  • Work closely with client leadership to optimize our ongoing relationship and fully support and further their evolving opportunities

The salary range for this position is $130k - $180k annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on location, experience, skills, relevant education, and training.
