Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
Director of PMO operations is responsible for overseeing the process of forecasting, planning, and managing customer demand for IT products or services. This role is crucial for ensuring the company has the necessary technology to operate efficiently while optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance. Serves as a crucial link between the finance and IT departments, ensuring that technology investments align with business goals and are optimized for cost and efficiency. Ensure that all contractual commitments across IT are delivered by effectively managing vendor relationships (contractual, commercial, and operational).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for IT procurement requisition review, vendor sourcing, RFP/RFQ coordination, evaluation, negotiation, and contract review
- Identifying and evaluating potential IT solutions based on cost, quality, reliability, and security standards
- Analyzing market trends, monitoring IT spending patterns, and identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses to aid management in making IT procurement decisions
- Leading the annual IT budget process, including gathering requests from different IT teams, and developing detailed forecasts for operating and capital expenditures
- Understand IT processes and associated IT activities for each user group within the department
- Help business to develop proposals and advance them through the demand process
- Evaluate current IT workflows, systems, and processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement
- Provide IT administrative leadership by managing departmental budgets, processing and scheduling training and conference requests
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or management information systems
- 7 or more years of professional experience solving business problems with technology solutions at an energy facility or related industry
- Experience working with all key departments like IT, Compliance, Finance, Tax, AP, Legal and Procurement.
- Knowledge of IT concepts and systems.
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
