Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Senior Project Manager, GI Oncology Translational Research! We’re looking for a dynamic clinical research professional to manage the Gastroesophageal cancer (GEC) translational research portfolio led by the Solid Tumor Gastrointestinal (STGI) Oncology service chief.

Role Overview:

  • Partner with the Service Chief and GI oncology research leadership to ensure appropriate oversight, governance, and management of the research portfolio and to support the strategic growth of the GEC research program.
  • Provide operational, administrative, regulatory, financial, and project management oversight for the GEC translational research portfolio.
  • Provide project leadership, guidance, and coordination to ensure stakeholders remain aligned on priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate activities across internal MSK departments, including Pathology and Sloan Kettering Institute laboratories, as well as external collaborators, research partners, and vendors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, track progress, provide direction, guidance and leadership support to stakeholders, and communicate project updates appropriately.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for the research portfolio and facilitate effective communication among clinical, scientific, administrative, and operational teams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the GEC Research Center Retreats and other strategic program-building activities.
  • Must be highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and an excellent communicator, flexible with communication methods to best meet the needs of the service chief and key research stakeholders. This role requires flexibility and responsiveness to research needs, including communication outside of standard business hours via email/phone.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 4-7 years of Project Management experience.
  • Prior experience in clinical research, operations and relationship management is preferred.
  • A scientific background or demonstrated ability to understand and communicate scientific and translational research concepts is preferred. Experience in gastroesophageal oncology is desirable but not required.

Additional Information:

  • Location: BAIC, 300 E 66th Street, NYC
  • Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote- flexibility required depending on business needs

GI oncology service has more than a dozen subspecialties, each focused on a single malignancy of the GI tract, including anal, colorectal, esophageal, gastric (stomach), liver, and pancreatic cancers, as well as GI stromal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors.

 

Pay Range: $114,000.00 - $182,400.00

 

FSLA Status: Exempt
