Senior Project Manager (f/m/d) Main Ground Combat System (MGCS)

Become part of a multinational team and develop the cross-platform combat system of the future with us, thereby strengthening European defence cooperation.
MGCS, which stands for Main Ground Combat System, is a Franco-German armaments programme that aims to replace the Leopard 2 and Leclerc main battle tanks with a high-tech ground combat system by 2040.
The programme is intended to strengthen the European pillar in NATO, as well as key Franco-German technologies, and to contribute to the consolidation of the German, French and European land systems industry.

Your mission

• Drive the achievement of project objectives by securing contractual commitments, including costs, quality, deadlines, and forecast financial results

• Ensure comprehensive project structuring, overseeing allocated funds, efficient organization, and meticulous planning

• Serve as the key liaison to JV partners, fostering strong relationships to ensure success and maximize customer satisfaction

• Lead and inspire your team, ensuring high motivation through innovative and challenging engagements

• Coordinate and manage internal contractors, partners, and subcontractors for seamless collaboration and integration

• Strategically manage risks and opportunities, proactively mitigating risks and capitalizing on emerging opportunities within the project scope

We are looking forward to

• Technical background specializing in project management, with at least 10 years' experience managing complex projects or programs, preferably in the defense sector

• Project management experience in an international environment, with cross-functional management involving several GBUs and partners in complex settings

• Familiarity with working in a multicultural environment

• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, consistently achieving the commitments of the integrated project team

• Demonstrated strong leadership to drive competitiveness initiatives, organized with strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication and relationship skills, capable of engaging and developing your team through challenging approaches
