Your role at a glance

The Senior Project Manager, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) is an individual contributor role, responsible for executing multiple, simultaneous programs and/or projects. With demonstrated project management skills and proven experience in project management methodologies, this position delivers efficient and consistent project execution across the organization. This position interacts with both internal customers and external vendors, representing the Enterprise Program Management Office to key stakeholders within the business. The Senior Project Manager demonstrates project management best practices and industry standard tools across the business.
This position operates in a global capacity, requiring close collaboration with cross functional teams across regions to ensure alignment, integration, and successful delivery of enterprise wide initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Leads diverse cross-functional programs/projects within the organization that align with business goals and drive success towards expected business outcomes in the global context.
• Applies structured business transformation and organizational change management (OCM) methodologies to support project success.
• Aligning to the EPMO methodology, Cclearly articulates program/project goals, deliverables, timelines, etc. to all levels of the organization as well as external resources.
• Responsible for proper project scoping, committals and delivery time frames.
• Utilizes the EPMO methodology for managing all aspects of projects including project definition, scheduling, meeting management, milestone tracking, scope management, budget management, risk management, change management, communications, and status reporting, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope.
• Manages and drives follow-ups through to completion.
• Reports project progress through the Enterprise Program Management Office and proactively escalates issues and risks that require sponsor attention.
• Successfully completes and closes out all assigned projects.
• Provides strategic recommendations and actionable insights to senior leadership on project priorities, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and business outcomes.
• Collaborates with diverse organizational cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, remove barriers, and drive project success in Global context. This includes collaborating with stakeholders globally across all 4 regions. (India, America, EMEA & APAC).
• Fosters strong working relationships across business areas and / or geographies, interfacing with internal departments, external consultants, and vendors, as necessary.
• Delivers concise, executive-ready communications, status reporting, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership, ensuring clarity of risks, decisions, and required actions.

Knowledge & Attributes

• Professional business fluency in Japanese and English, including written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in project management methodologies, processes, and industry standard tools.
• Effective stakeholder management, time management, and organizational skills.

• Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

Academic Qualification & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in project management, business, information technology or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Experience with an IT service provider, data center or SaaS provider preferred.
• Experience in a global organization is a plus.

Required Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive project and program management experience, including ownership and delivery of complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• The Project Manager demonstrates project management best practices and industry standard tools across the business.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams and operating across multiple time zones.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English in written and verbal business communications.
• Advanced experience overseeing projects through the full program/project lifecycle.
• Advanced demonstrated experience working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced stakeholder engagement experience at all levels.
