Position Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Miami Office – In-office with occasional travel to other sites
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM,

 

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for, managing projects from cradle to grave. This means that the Senior Project Manager will participate in the RFP process to win a project, once the project is won, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for preparing the project files, preparing the project schedule, finalizing contractual agreements with subconsultants, setting up project budgets in our project management and accounting software, managing the subconsultants and project schedule, managing internal staff, and tracking the project progress. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow a standard process, as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Initiate the Project – Understand project, prepare budgets and schedules, and select teams and resources.
  • Plan the Project - Set goals and objectives, define roles and produce schedules and timelines for tasks, in accordance with the needs of your client.
  • Manage the Project - Coordinate the project team to keep them on track, monitor the project on budget and schedule, prepare monthly update reports, prepare monthly invoices, and review and approve monthly accounts payables for the project.
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time
  • Implement any necessary changes throughout the process
  • Report regularly to management and the client
  • Close the Project – Prepare all final close-out documents, evaluate successes and challenges, prepare final closeout report which defines successes and challenges, which will be used to improve future performance.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Structural).
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.
  • Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and management skills.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) year experience in the field of engineering, designing, or construction.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Microsoft Projects
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • ICPR (Preferred)

Preferred Certifications:

  •  Professional Engineer (State of Florida)
  • Project Management Professional (Preferred)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
