The Red Hat BeNeLux Consulting team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us in the Netherlands. In this role, you will guide both complex and smaller projects within your assigned region to completion, from initiation through delivery to closure. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria. You will define, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risks. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll also help establish an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies with Red Hat services.
What you will do:
Integrate and use specific industry and technical delivery methodologies, e.g., project management methodologies based on PMI, Red Hat Services project management methodology, systems and software development, agile or scrum
Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat Services projects with minimal direction
Manage projects while achieving utilization and revenue targets
Understand market trends and competitive offerings and services, including what business problems they solve, their strengths, weaknesses, and value propositions, and how they compare and contrast to the Red Hat's solutions portfolio
Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria; develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plans
Staff projects with the relevant consultants and architects, considering required skills and level of experience
Assist with training the project team on the application of appropriate procedures and processes
Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules; contribute to the project estimation and review process
What you will bring:
8+ years of experience in a project management role in IT-based projects
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Knowledge of specific project management and technical delivery methodologies used in the IT industry
Solid interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills with business insight
Ability to work in a team as well as on your own; ability to motivate project team and individual contributors and mediate conflicts
Technical experience and knowledge with Red Hat related solutions is a plus
Project management certification is an advantage
Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch strongly preferred
Dutch or EU citizenship
