Senior Project Manager (Data)
Hybrid – typically 1 day per week in office and onsite workshops when required
Location: Flexible – Staines (TW18 3DZ), London (EC2R 7HJ) or Salford (M50 3SP)
Permanent
Salary range: £70,000 - £80,000 (Neg)
Role specific benefits: 10% Bonus (Company & Performance related)
Full time – 37.5 hours per week

The Senior Project Manager (Data) will own complete delivery and accountability of the Data project to agreed plan, budget, quality and timescales as defined by the business, recognising and mitigating Risks, resolving issues and pro-actively managing any corrective actions or change requests throughout the lifetime of the programme or project.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Ensure full delivery and accountability of the Data project, adhering to the specified plan, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Coordinate activities, dependencies, and critical paths to align with the Data project's objectives. Working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, depending on the type of change initiative.
- Develop and oversee optimised project plans, resource allocation, budgets, key success indicators, and milestones for Data projects.
- Maintain effective relationships across Data and Technology sectors for optimal resource utilisation within project scope and budget.
- Contribute to and create business case documents for the Data project, ensuring compliance with governance protocols.
- Deliver precise financial projections and routine project updates to stakeholders and financial teams.
- Align with Bupa's governance and delivery frameworks for Data projects.
- Manage and engage internal/external teams and third-party entities effectively.
- Organise, lead, and conduct Steering Committees and Project Meetings.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Data and Technology Change community, serving as an advocate for Data Change.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Proficiency in Data and Technology Program/Project Management
- Track record of managing complex Data projects, ensuring successful delivery
- Familiarity with Artificial intelligence (AI), Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, PowerBI, Azure Machine Learning, Snowflake, GDPR compliance
- Strong grasp of technology components
- Highly Desirable: Program/Project Management certification
- Knowledge of program/project methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP) and delivery techniques (Scrum, Agile)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on team dynamics and a commitment to delivery
- Ability to perform under pressure with effective decision-making skills
- Expertise in managing risks, issues, and dependencies
- Skilled in project resource, budget, and cost management
- Experience in commercial and vendor management
- Proven stakeholder management abilities
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
