The Senior Project Manager provides end-to-end project management for complex national and international construction and refurbishment projects, with a primary focus on logistics and industrial real estate assets. The role is not limited to this sector and may also support projects across other asset classes, including office and mixed-use, depending on business needs.The position acts as the primary interface to the client and is responsible for delivering projects from initiation through planning, design, procurement, construction, and close-out. It combines technical project delivery with client advisory and business development responsibilities and contributes to strengthening our presence in the region.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the delivery of construction and fit-out projects across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with agreed scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives. This includes the development and ongoing management of project plans, budgets, and reporting structures.
- Coordination and management of all internal and external stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, legal advisors, and public authorities.
- Oversight of design development, permitting, procurement, and construction phases, including contract administration and coordination in accordance with relevant standards such as HOAI and VOB where applicable.
- Monitoring and control of project financials, including review of invoices, change orders, and cost tracking, as well as preparation of structured reporting for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Representation of the client in all key project meetings, including project kick-offs, regular progress meetings, and final handovers.
- Contribution to technical due diligence (TDD) processes in acquisition phases of logistics and industrial assets, including assessment of feasibility, risks, and project implications.
- Active involvement in business development activities, including support in acquiring new mandates, client presentations, and identification of cross-selling opportunities, particularly within the logistics and industrial sector.
- Collaboration with internal teams and other service lines to support integrated service delivery and regional growth initiatives.
- Opportunity to support the onboarding and mentoring of junior colleagues as the team develops in the region.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Several years of experience in project management of construction and/or fit-out projects.
- Strong expertise in logistics and industrial real estate, with openness to other asset classes such as office and mixed-use.
- Solid knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and relevant construction and project management standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects and stakeholder environments.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, combined with a professional and confident presence.
- High level of initiative, ownership, and quality orientation.
- Strong business acumen and interest in contributing to client development and growth.
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
