Role Summary:

Senior Project Manager focused on delivering Analytics products/offerings with a primary delivery focus on Product Maintenance and Risk & Resilience initiatives; the role involves close coordination across a diverse and global group of collaborators towards aligning on deliverables and ensuring these are delivered on time, in scope, and on budget. The role requires coordination across engineering and product teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drives the direction and delivery of assigned high-risk projects to achieve strategic objectives and transformational change
  • The successful candidate for this role will exhibit strong project management skills and be capable of supervising overall progress of the project, with particular focus on budgets, key milestones, resources, and dependencies.
  • Providing overall project leadership, guidance and technical expertise to lead all aspects of a project or initiative, including requirements analysis, business case creation, planning and execution
  • Holding ultimate accountability for delivery, leading projects/initiatives with significant complexity, impact and risk
  • Promoting and fostering collaboration across broad categories of stakeholders, leading cross-functional meetings and gaining commitments to ensure corrective actions take place if required
  • Collaborating with the Portfolio Director to ensure projects achieve objectives and align with business priorities
  • Aligning team priorities and activity to the strategic delivery and transformation direction, ensuring prioritisation of key projects and devising new ideas and initiatives to support the organisation
  • Providing project reporting and status to senior management
  • Developing resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for day-to-day operational activities and addressing issues
  • Leading programme-level risks and interdependencies, budget variances and change requests; and ensuring all projects adhere to LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.

Key Relationships:

  • Senior leaders in multiple business units, teams from: Engineering, security, compliance, legal, proposition, product management, finance, technology, sales, marketing, business leads, and customer operations

What You’ll Bring:

  • Extensive business experience in a large, dynamic organisation with strong project management skills
  • Experience running large projects or programmes in constantly evolving environments (with international teams)
  • Significant people management experience (This is an individual contributor role but influencing other key partners is required throughout the project lifecycle)
  • Self-starter with positive, proactive, assertive presence to motivate and inspire and establish and maintain credibility with senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor messages to audience
  • Strong analytical skills with track record of problem solving and decision making
  • Strong cross functional team engagement and teamwork skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office applications

Desired Skills:

  • Broad business knowledge with a good understanding of LSEG, the market it engages with and its strategic objectives
  • Knowledge of Analytics business is an asset
  • Knowledge of Clarity, Asana, PowerBI is helpful
  • Exposure to Technology Risk & Resilience and Product Maintenance initiatives would be useful, e.g. Capacity, Obsolescence, Cyber

Education / Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional certification such as PMP from the Project Management Institute is desirable
