The Opportunity 

Based at our Brisbane Operations site, we are now seeking a Senior Project Engineer. This role is part of our manufacturing environment, supporting the delivery of complex projects that directly impact the quality, efficiency, and scalability of our life-changing hearing solutions. As a Project Engineer, you’ll deliver projects across our local manufacturing operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to drive technical outcomes. 

 

Project Delivery 

  • Lead small yet technically complex manufacturing projects at our Brisbane site from concept through to completion 

  • Work alongside the Project Manager on the medium and large site projects 

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments 

  • Ensure projects meet technical, quality, and regulatory standards within a highly regulated environment 

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, facilities, and external contractors 

  • Act as the bridge between technical delivery and project execution ensuring alignment across teams 

  • Solve complex technical challenges and navigate constraints to ensure successful delivery 

  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers or technicians where required 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication 

  • Provide regular project updates and status reporting to stakeholders across the business 

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with internal teams and external suppliers 

  • Influence and drive outcomes across multiple teams without direct authority 

  • Partner with site and global teams to improve manufacturing processes and ways of working

About You

You combine strong technical capability with a practical, solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable navigating complexity to keep projects moving. You build credibility quickly with stakeholders, communicate clearly, and know how to influence across teams to get things done, even where you don’t have direct authority. 

 

You will bring: 

  • Proven experience delivering technical or manufacturing projects in a complex environment 

  • A strong engineering or technical foundation, with the ability to translate requirements into practical outcomes 

  • The ability to manage competing priorities, risks, and dependencies while maintaining delivery focus 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgement 

  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across manufacturing, engineering, and support functions 

 

It would be a bonus if you have: 

  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similar 

  • Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments 

  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers or technicians
