This Position reports to:
Market Development Manager
This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division. Roles & Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Design Excellence: Serves as technical lead, approves design deliverables, solves complex engineering challenges, and ensures compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards. Specializes in protection, controls, IEC 61850 networks, and power system analysis.
- Customer Engagement & Project Execution: Collaborates with customers to shape solutions, resolve technical issues, and support proposal development. Leads design reviews and ensures alignment with secure-by-design principles and contractual obligations.
- Knowledge Sharing & Process Improvement: Coaches peers, conducts design verification, and contributes to workshops. Develops and refines engineering tools and processes, ensuring compliance and suggesting improvements.
- End-to-End Project Support: Manages risk, contract compliance, planning, supply chain coordination, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning. Ensures deliverables meet project goals, timelines, and customer expectations.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of relevant experience and at least 8 years focused on power systems protection and control design.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in protection and control systems, power system architecture, troubleshooting tools, and analysis; proven experience with IEC 61850 substation automation and familiarity with DNP & Modbus protocols.
- Professional Skills: Hands-on problem solver and team player with strong customer focus; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Mobility & Flexibility: Willing to travel up to 40% to support project and customer needs.
