Job Description Summary

As a Project Engineer – Piping & Tank Farm, you will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical systems, piping networks, and tank farm infrastructure in large-scale industrial or warehouse construction projects. This role demands a solid understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, with a particular focus on piping layouts, process connections, and storage tank design and integration.

About the Role:

  • Participate in design development of piping systems and tank farms with a focus on constructability and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure design complies with legal and statutory regulations and coordinate timely approvals from relevant authorities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including structural, civil, and MEP disciplines to integrate piping and tank systems seamlessly into the project.

  • Review and validate shop drawings, ensuring alignment with the project scope and standards.

  • Supervise execution of piping and tank farm works on-site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, safety norms, quality standards, and project schedule.

  • Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves, and associated piping networks.

  • Coordinate procurement and selection of vendors and materials related to piping and tank works, in alignment with client-approved procedures.

  • Oversee implementation of inspection and quality assurance plans for piping and tank components, including pressure testing and leak checks.

  • Facilitate smooth handover by ensuring proper documentation, as-built drawings, commissioning certificates, and operation manuals.

  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for facility operators and maintenance personnel in coordination with contractors and consultants.

About You:

  • Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

    Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in piping, tank farm, and

  • MEP systems within industrial/warehouse projects

    Strong knowledge of piping materials, layout planning, and mechanical system integration

  • Familiarity with statutory codes such as ASME, IS, API, and local environmental regulations

  • Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills

    Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage contractors and stakeholders
