In this position the Senior Project Engineer – Poland will be a member of the Advanced Application Engineering team responsible for planning, developing, and driving the engineering execution of the BWRX-300 programs in Poland. This position will be embedded in GVH offices in Warsaw Poland. You will be the primary technical interface with the customer providing technical coordination with multiple engineering disciplines, business project management, partners, subcontractors and customers. You will be responsible to coordinate timely decision making on project technical issues relying on internal home office technical organizations. You will be an active contributor to the business vision/strategy in the region, supporting tactical actions as well as long-term strategic programs.
The position is to be filled by a recognized leader in the business. This person will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives associated with building out the technical acumen of the GVH EIC team and be a visible champion of the project development.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
As the Senior Project Engineer – Poland, you will:
- Report solid line to the General Manager, Advanced Applications Engineering.
- Embedded in the GVH Poland offices and serve as the single point of contact with customer for technical issues for the Poland project(s).
- Provide technical project leadership for a diverse engineering team in Poland and partner with the EIC GVH Engineering Manager to facilitate the technical and project related growth of the local engineering team.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal home office engineering team managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate engineering interfaces and drive timely resolution of technical issues with multiple engineering disciplines, business product management, partners, subcontractors, and customers.
- Be accountable for on-time and on-budget delivery of technical deliverables.
- Manage the technical interface with external engineering partners, subcontractors, and other applicable country specific regulatory agencies, as required on technical issues.
- Work with functional engineering teams to build estimates, schedules, manage change orders and responses to corrective actions.
- Report on project progress, performance, and manpower utilization with particular attention to delays, adverse trends, errors and omissions.
- Support the development of the business vision/strategy for new plant initiatives and strategic programs.
- Provide guidance to leadership on management of external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positions.
- Protect the Intellectual Property rights of GVH.
- Ensure adherence to GVH’s standards for nuclear safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related science or technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power industry.
Eligibility Requirements
- This role will require relocation to Poland in early 2026 for at least 1 to 2 years.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

- Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business.
- Practitioner and / or expert of Lean practices.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated success working across cultures and time zones; ability to build trust with diverse teams.
- Cultural agility and sensitivity to different work practices, languages, and business norms.
- Ability to represent home office standards diplomatically while adapting to local realities.
- Ability to operate independently in remote or overseas assignments.
- Self- motivated, adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic project environment.
- Proven track record of influencing without formal authority and promoting alignment across functions.
The base pay range for this position is $150K - $289K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 11/8/25.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
