This position reports to:
Engineering Manager__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in Xiamen China.
- Evaluates, selects, validate and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments of skids, base frames & enclosure in GPG.
- Provides technical support and optimize solutions for tendering, design, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to ensure design reliability and performance.
- Contributes and shares experiences in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
- Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience in creating and managing BIM models and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) for mechanical analysis.
- Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.
- Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for their projects.
- Ensures that Bill of Materials (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements, by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM).
- Identifies and implements variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from project manager.
- Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the project manager.
- Collaborates with the Supply Chain functions and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in similar field with >5 years experience
