The Senior Project Coordinator, Training and Technical Assistance assists the Training and Technical Assistance Senior Project Manager on duties specific to the work of the Training and Technical Assistance division of the Tow Youth Justice Institute and achieving its goals as outlined in the TYJI strategic plan.

You will:

  • Develop and implement project plans for Transforming Youth Justice Program, Social Justice programs, A Restorative Place, CT Restorative Practice Network, Community Trainings, Social Equity Council and other programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Transforming Youth Justice Program cohort application process, eliciting applicants, reviewing, and evaluating all applicant material, and being part of the selection committee of candidates for each program.
  • Lead and facilitate Transforming Youth Justice Program sessions with support from the Senior Project Manager.
  • Develop and implement with Senior Project Manager a plan for the coordination of individual trainings and sessions for each program, including but not limited to, development of PowerPoints, identification of resources and supporting material and supplies, and working collaboratively with the TYJI Office Manager in other session logistics.
  • Lead liaison to guest presenters and speakers for Training and Technical Assistance programs to ensure all scheduling and session logistics are in order.
  • Collaborate and work with the Senior Project Manager to facilitate and/or co-facilitate training and programming sessions.
  • Lead and coordinate CT Restorative Practice Network meetings ensure all scheduling and meeting logistics are in order.
  • Research potential learning guides for existing and new training opportunities. In collaboration with the Senior Project Manager, develop training curriculum for catalogue of fee for service trainings.
  • Attend training sessions as scheduled.

You need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related subject/concentration required.
  • Previous experience working in non-profit grant related role and creating and/or delivering training and curriculum is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, on-line meeting platforms Zooms, Microsoft teams, Google meets, and other presentation software).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills including report writing and planning and scheduling. Also proficiency in media literacy and utilization of electronic technology required.
  • Excellent time management skills including proven experience in organizing workload, processes, and problem solving.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable operational and business-related policies.
  • Media literacy skills in use of electronic technology.
