About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Project Controller to support the successful delivery of a major strategic project alongside a portfolio of smaller projects and frameworks. This role will also play a key part in the cost and pricing activities for bids, ensuring financial robustness and competitiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and senior leadership to provide financial insight, control, and governance across the SS&I business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Control & Financial Management

  • Lead financial control for a major project and a portfolio of smaller projects, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Monitor project performance against budget and schedule, identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Provide monthly financial reports and variance analysis to stakeholders.

  • Support project reviews and governance processes with clear financial insights.

Costing & Pricing for Bids

  • Develop and review cost models and pricing strategies for new bids and proposals.

  • Collaborate with bid teams to ensure alignment between technical scope and financial estimates.

  • Ensure compliance with internal pricing policies and external client requirements.

  • Support commercial negotiations with robust financial data and scenario modelling.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key liaison between project teams, finance, and operations.

  • Present financial information to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

  • Support decision-making with timely and accurate financial analysis.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in project financial control processes and tools.

Here's what you'll need:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in project controlling or financial management within engineering, infrastructure, or technology sectors.

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, cost control, and financial reporting.

  • Experience in bid pricing and commercial finance.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
