This role forms part of the Project Controls leadership structure and acts as a first-line coordination and development role within the team. The Team Coordinator will support day-to-day team leadership, workload allocation, quality assurance, capability development, stakeholder engagement, and the consistent delivery of high-quality Project Controls services across multiple project portfolios.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical Project Controls expertise with excellent leadership potential, coaching ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management capabilities. The role is suitable for experienced Project Controls professionals who are ready to take a stronger leadership role while continuing to contribute technical expertise and delivery oversight.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and technical support to team members, helping ensure clarity of priorities, delivery expectations, and performance standards.

· Support workload allocation, capacity planning, utilization visibility, and resource prioritization across the team, escalating risks where workload, deadlines, or capability gaps may impact delivery.

· Act as a first point of escalation for Project Controls delivery issues, supporting timely resolution and ensuring appropriate communication with relevant stakeholders.

· Conduct regular performance, development, and career conversations with team members, supporting clear development plans and continuous professional growth.

· Coach, mentor, and train team members to strengthen technical capability, delivery confidence, stakeholder management, and overall Project Controls maturity.

· Oversee the quality and consistency of key Project Controls deliverables, ensuring appropriate peer reviews, quality checks, governance standards, and reporting requirements are applied.

· Support Project Managers, Business Line stakeholders, and portfolio leads with project performance insights, reporting outputs, cost and schedule information, and data-driven recommendations.

· Act as a key interface between stakeholders and the Project Controls team, helping clarify requirements, manage expectations, prioritize work, and ensure timely delivery of agreed outputs.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardization, reporting improvements, automation opportunities, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned.

· Support project audits, governance requirements, compliance activities, and internal reporting obligations.

· Promote collaboration, accountability, ownership, and a positive team culture within the Project Controls function.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree mandatory in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.

· Strong experience in at least one core Project Controls discipline, such as Planning/Scheduling, Cost Management, Business Intelligence, Reporting, Forecasting, or Performance Management.

· Good working knowledge across multiple Project Controls disciplines, with the ability to understand dependencies between cost, schedule, reporting, forecasting, governance, and project performance.

· Experience providing technical guidance, coaching, training, or informal leadership to colleagues or junior team members.

· Experience working with Project Managers, stakeholders, or delivery teams to support reporting, decision-making, issue resolution, and project performance management.

· Previous people management or formal team leadership experience is desirable but not essential. Strong leadership potential, ownership, maturity, and the ability to develop others are essential.

Technical Skills

· Strong understanding of Project Controls principles, processes, and best practices.

· Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and project delivery governance.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze, validate, structure, and present project data effectively.
