As the Senior Project Analyst, you will play a critical role in the newly established Finance Shared Services Center of Excellence. This position is responsible for maintaining project timelines, tracking key performance metrics, managing project communication, incident tracking across FSS, and collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders. The Project Analyst will also facilitate process improvements, automation initiatives, and governance for new and existing processes within Finance Shared Services.
A Day in the Life
Project Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications within the team
- Maintain and communicate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Provide timely updates to the manager on project progress, issues, and potential risks
- Track and report on project status to leadership and relevant stakeholders as required
Project & Incident Management:
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes
- Develop project plans, track progress, and mitigate risks
- Develop an action plan and implement incident reporting plan driving change on current incident reporting within Finance Shared Services
- Monitor and manage incidents related to shared services processes, partnering with Supervisors and IT for RCA
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal (team) and external stakeholders to gather and document new requirements
- Facilitate discussions to identify process gaps, areas for improvement, and automation opportunities
- Ensure alignment of project goals with business needs and finance shared services strategy
- Assist in the development of presentations materials
Data & Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, automation, and governance for FSS
- Leverage tools such as Smartsheet, Sales Force, Visio, and other applications to support project and team needs
- Provide leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations
Process & Governance:
- Support process reengineering, streamlining, and automation initiatives
- Provide governance and oversight for new and existing finance shared services processes
- Act as the key coordinator for incoming project and process improvement requests
Functional Expertise & System Support:
- Gain functional expertise in finance shared services processes and act as a subject matter expert (SME) when required
- Develop and maintain proficiency in software applications used for project tracking and process management
- Support leadership and team members in solving process-related challenges and operational issues as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics or a related field of study or 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Minimum three years of experience in project management, or with a top-tier management consulting firm, or as a data analyst within finance
- Knowledge of data-driven analysis, project delivery practices and standards across a process improvement lifecycle
- Experience assessing project risk and implementing appropriate control mechanisms
- Experience in generating project documentation and reports
- Application proficiency: Excel/Smartsheet power user, Outlook, Power Point, JIRA
- Experience with data analysis tools, SQL
- Knowledge of automation technologies such as Power Automate, RPAs, Alteryx and other solutions a plus
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP S4/HANA a plus
The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 - $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
