Frima is looking for a Senior Programmer (C++) to join a specialized team on one of our biggest projects!

What your weeks are going to look like
- Daily Scrum-style meetings to start the day off right, discuss technical challenges, and ensure rigorous tracking of deliverables.
- Participate in code reviews with various team members;
- Identify and resolve performance issues related to CPUs, GPUs, and memory;
- Develop and maintain integrations between the engine and toolchains and pipelines on mobile, PC, and console;
- Debug issues at both the engine and gameplay levels;
- Improve and automate our deployment and debugging processes;
- Maintain service configurations and integrations;
- Participate in the project’s technical design by proposing innovative solutions tailored to the project’s needs, while adhering to constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.);
- Support the team in addressing complex technical issues by proposing robust and effective solutions, thereby ensuring the quality and performance of the code;
- Provide technical support to overcome roadblocks and propose proactive solutions to keep the project on track;
- Make independent technical decisions, consulting with the Lead Programmer for choices with significant strategic impact;
- Develop, optimize, and maintain game features, ensuring their performance and interoperability with other systems;
- Mentor and support programmers by providing them with technical guidance and sharing best practices in development to ensure code quality and compliance with the team’s standards.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, combined with experience deemed equivalent;
- A minimum of ten (10) years of programming experience or other relevant experience;
- Previous experience in roles involving technical leadership (e.g., mentoring, functional team management, etc.);
- Excellent proficiency of the C++ language;
- Good knowledge of the various hardware and software layers involved in the execution of a video game;
- Ability to think systemically when considering complex architectures that work together (SDK / game server or clients / Unreal Engine / streaming protocols);
- Comfortable with long-term iterations;
- Proficiency with the Unreal game engine (a significant asset);
- Experience in mobile game development (a significant asset);
- Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken). English skills are required to perform the job, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners;
- Ability to travel outside the country as needed.

Skills Required
