The Opportunity
Takeda is embarking on a multi-year transformation program where migrating the current SAP platform to S/4HANA will serve as a foundational enabler. The programme will have a transformative impact on the organization and the processes, and this role will be instrumental in maximizing success and benefits. The purpose of the role is as follows.
Senior Program Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of this hybrid agile program. This position requires a highly skilled professional with proven expertise in large-scale transformation programs, preferably in ERP, Jira knowledge, and the ability to drive outcomes in a collaborative and dynamic environment. By leveraging advanced tools and aligning with the agile center of excellence, the role ensures that the Takami program runs efficiently in partnership with our system integration partner and internal program team members.
Responsibilities
Program Planning & Execution
- Develop, maintain, and optimize an integrated master plan for the Takami Program, aligning cross-functional activities, milestones, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with programme management and approximately 20 pods, ensuring hybrid Agile principles and best practices are upheld while meeting program objectives.
Coordination & Schedule Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, external partners, and vendors, ensuring alignment to program goals and timelines.
- Proactively identify critical paths, resource constraints, and propose solutions to balance workload across pods and stakeholders.
Tools Management (e.g., Jira)
- Utilize Jira to monitor progress, manage tasks, track dependencies, and ensure transparency across pods and leadership stakeholders.
- Implement reports with Jira and relevant best in class Takeda tools to streamline workflows and reporting.
- Partner with Systems Integrator to ensure effective use of reporting and program outcomes monitoring capabilities.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify and mitigate risks while resolving complex program challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to address roadblocks and ensure ongoing improvement and adaptation to changes.
- Proactively escalate concerns to transformation office requiring support and executive awareness/engagement.
Communication and Reporting
- Provide clear, consistent communication to stakeholders, including program dashboards, executive reporting, and detailed status updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all schedule related inquirites.
Quality Assurance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to governance standards and quality benchmarks across all phases of the program lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Extensive program/project management experience, including management of full lifecycle implementations of processes and applications, preferably or ERP application or other global shared platforms (e.g. Viva, Salesforce, Workday, ..)
- Schedule Management expertise and ability to create, optimize, and maintain detailed program and project schedules (e.g., Gantt charts, timelines)
- Strong knowledge of methodologies like Critical Path Method (CPM) and deep knowledge of Agile principles, preferred SaFE certified.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage project data to drive risks and decisions
- Agile & Continuous Improvement Mindset: Ability to work in an agile, iterative environment focused on continuous process improvement.
- Ability to form strong working relationships across a matrix environment.
- Proactive communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
- Cross-Functional Process Alignment: Business units working in harmonized, standardized processes with minimal fragmentation.
- Work in complex matrix environment
- Ability to influence without authority across multiple project PODS
- Expertise in agile methodologies
- PMP or PgMP preferred
- SaFE preferred

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 4450 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
