Responsible for the leadership, execution, and successful delivery of one or more complex, high-technology programs involving the development, integration, manufacturing, and testing of advanced hardware and software systems. Ensures all contractual, technical, schedule, and financial objectives are achieved while effectively managing program risks and stakeholder expectations. Assignments generally involve high-risk, high-value programs requiring strategic leadership and decision-making at the system level. Operates with minimal supervision and broad latitude for independent judgment, regularly exercising significant discretion and authority to make programmatic, financial, and operational decisions that impact business outcomes.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads program execution to meet technical performance within cost and schedule.
- Manages multiple programs in accordance with contracts and policies, procedures and department instructions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
- Aligning large-scale projects with overarching corporate goals and defining key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
- Anticipate blockers, building contingency plans, and executing governance protocols when scope adjustments occur.
- Direct cross-functional teams ensuring schedule management, operational readiness activities, stakeholder communications, risk escalation and mitigation, and deliverable tracking.
- Plans and leads status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and customers.
- Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets. Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.
- Actively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned programs
- Identifies program issues with sufficient lead for timely resolution.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Ten or more years of progressive management experience that includes operations and Program management. At least five years of program management on contracts exceeding $10 million USD. Proficiency in Project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smart sheets and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. Proven ability to lead cross-functional program teams. Proven understanding of engineering, operations (government procurement, subcontracting, and manufacturing), system integration and test, quality assurance, configuration management, logistics, contract administration, standard business practices, finance, and the relationship of programs within a portfolio. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, make presentations and conduct negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. Requires knowledge of government procurement, contracting, and standards and specifications. Requires active or ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.

Cubic Pay Range:
$170,000.00 - $195,000.00 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
