BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The candidate needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter who can quickly come up to speed and work collaboratively with staff, peers, leadership, and customers to successfully support daily operations. This role requires strong financial analysis experience, excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The Senior Program Coordinator will be supporting the Technical Planning and Execution (TPE) team for a large Navy contract and will report directly to the Program Area Manager (PAM). The candidate will be able to effectively communicate timely information, develop reports, and provide insights on the health of the TPE area to help facilitate day-to-day activities.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Program Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Data Analysis
- Maintain accurate program records, prepare progress reports, and collect data to evaluate operational efficacy
- Collect and analyze data from various sources like timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis
- Generate reports and visualizations to present insights to the Program Area Manager and Supervisors
- Consolidate cross-functional project data to create and maintain performance dashboards
- Financial Oversight and Control
- Develop and monitor staffing forecasts, track expenses, and prepare periodic financial reports
- Partner with financial teams to track labor utilization, monthly costs, and funding plans
- Review Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Budget at Complete (BAC) metrics
- Staff Recruitment and Governance Support
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Develop and maintain training guides, work instructions, and templates
- Coordinate program agendas, schedule meetings, and organize special events or workshops
- Risk & Contract Support
- Document and monitor program area risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place
- Ensure compliance with contractual mandates, internal company policies, and TPE specific guidelines for all deliverables and processes
- Assist with the development of contract SOWs, BOEs, and change requests
- Process Improvement: Develop, recommend, and implement alternative practices or systems to solve organizational problems and increase efficiency
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or other related technical field and at least four years of related/relevant work experience to include experience as a Program Coordinator or Program Control Analyst supporting large programs.
Additional skill/experience required:
- Experience with developing, tracking, and reporting financial performance of contracts or contract areas
- Strong ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Jira, and Microsoft Project to present data effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, knowledgeable with project management methodologies and frameworks such as waterfall and agile
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Masters degree in Business Administration or other relevant field
- Strong skills in Power BI or Tableau
- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel
- PMP or CAPM
- Knowledge/Experience supporting DoW Strategic Deterrence or Weapons programs
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
