The Aerospace Business Area within the Leidos Defense Systems Sector has an immediate opening for a Sr. Program Financial Analyst to support multiple programs and critical new business initiatives. This high-paced, fast growing organization provides significant opportunity for development and impact.

As a key member of the program team, you will work directly with the program managers to help define each program's financial goals and objectives; create and maintain a program's budget, analyze progress reported against the program baseline; identify risks and opportunities against the program baseline; and recommend actions to improve progress to achieve flawless program execution. Additionally, this position will support various proposal efforts across the portfolio, providing financial insights into proposal teams, developing cash flow analysis and supporting business case and profitability analysis to drive the long-term growth of the organization.

The majority of the contracts and program support reside in Huntsville, AL. Ideally, we are looking for someone who resides in the Huntsville, AL area, but will consider 100% telecommute option (with occasional travel) for the right candidate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports and analysis.
  • Provide hands-on support and strategy for on-contract growth and new business proposals and help develop winning bids.
  • Work closely with other functional areas on financial related elements while, managing a programs general ledger, and monitoring program cash flow.
  • Develop and drive financial forecasts, EACs; Manage subcontractor and analyzing the programs revenue and costs.
  • Help Program Managers identify programmatic risk and opportunities that will impact program financials while recommending cost reductions and ways to mitigating risk.
  • Responsible for financial performance of the program to include the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly forecast
  • Support month-end closing process and perform variance/trend analyses
  • Cash management to Inventory analysis as well as timely submittal of invoices, collections and unbilled reduction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and 8+ years of program financial control related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts.
  • Has the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments within the programs and portfolios supporting.
  • Analytical, communication and presentations skills needed as well as being able to operate independently.
  • Understanding of proposal processes.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems and applications; such as: Cost Point, Hyperion, OBI, Cognos, Fusion, and Cost Point.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
