We are partnering with a fast-growing, highly respected production company specializing in high-end live events and immersive audio-visual experiences. This team supports a wide range of corporate, entertainment, and large-scale productions, working with high-profile clients and cutting-edge technology. They are seeking an experienced Technical/Production Manager to lead and execute complex event productions from concept to completion.

This position is ideal for a seasoned production professional with a strong background in live events and audio-visual systems. You will oversee all technical and production aspects of events, ensuring seamless execution while managing crews, equipment, and client expectations. This role requires approximately 30–40% travel.


Requirements

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in live event production
  • Well-rounded knowledge of audio, video, LED, lighting, rigging, power, and stage management
  • Strong understanding of AV integration and execution
  • Proficiency in LED wall mapping (Novastar & Brompton) and Resolume
  • Working knowledge of CAD or Vectorworks
  • Strong network within the production and events industry
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage high-stakes environments
  • Experience working with high-profile clients
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical and production aspects of live events
  • Develop equipment lists, pull sheets, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate rentals while optimizing cost efficiency
  • Translate stage designs into technical execution plans, including rigging and AV layouts
  • Conduct site visits and manage final event advancements with venues and vendors
  • Hire, assign, and manage production crews onsite
  • Oversee load-in, rehearsals, and live show execution
  • Optimize crew efficiency and production timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve real-time technical issues during events
  • Ensure system redundancy, safety protocols, and performance monitoring
  • Manage power distribution and cable organization
  • Collaborate with creative teams to align technical execution with vision
  • Maintain production budgets and track overall show costs
  • Lead production meetings and provide ongoing updates
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Support continuous improvement of production processes and SOPs
  • Serve as onsite Technical or Production Manager depending on event needs
