What You Will Be Doing:
We are hiring a Production Controller to oversee the tool room and ensure our production teams have the equipment, parts, and consumables they need to keep operations running smoothly. You will manage inventory systems, coordinate with multiple departments, and implement processes that improve tool availability, traceability, and performance. This role is critical to reducing downtime, supporting efficient production, and contributing to the advancement of next-generation fusion energy solutions. This is an onsite role that reports directly to one of our Production Managers at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
Manage tool room activities, including issuing, receiving, repairing, and maintaining tools and equipment
Establish and maintain accurate inventory records for all tools and non-inventory consumables using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or ERP system
Ensure storage, labeling, and cataloging of tools and consumables for quick access and traceability
Monitor tool usage and wear, scheduling preventive maintenance or replacements
Coordinate with production teams to ensure tools and consumables availability to minimize downtime
Manage our vendor managed inventory system to maintain stock of consumables
Implement continuous improvement projects for inventory accuracy, tool performance, and storage efficiency
Enforce safety policies and proper handling procedures in the tool room
Required Skills:
Experience in tool room management, parts inventory control, or a related role in a manufacturing environment
Experience with hand tools, machinery components, and maintenance practices
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
Experience coordinating with multiple departments
Ability to squat, reach, climb, and stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50lbs
