Job Purpose

The Sr. Production Control Planner supports the development and execution of a reliable, data-driven production plan that supports forecasting, equipment productivity, and on-time delivery. This role ensures that planned end-to-end production matches actual execution. By integrating planning systems with shop floor operations and external vendors, the Planner helps achieve zero-defect execution and uninterrupted production flow. They also support standardizing workflows, build planning tools, and drive strategic process improvements that scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the planning and replenishment of all materials required for product delivery and machine builds.
  • Examine the results of the MRP system along with system-generated part replenishment recommendations.
  • Develop production documentation and processes to drive high end-to-end productivity.
  • Integrate with Warehouse and Production staff to help support shop floor operations, work order on-time starts, and prevent any work stoppages.  
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize our planning or execution processes.
  • Supervise and report on the production progress of customer deliverables, including tracking external vendor operations.
  • Support creating reporting and dashboards that helps the company understand how well our end-to-end operation is performing. 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proven experience in scaling a high volume production ramp at a dynamic manufacturing facility.
  • Strong experience working across multiple product lines within manufacturing.
  • Analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • ERP system experience – Epicor preferred.
  • Technical understanding of the manufacturing work being planned and managed.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling.

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match. 


The annual base salary range for this position is $83,000 to $110,000.
