The Senior Product Researcher is responsible for ensuring that the CTI organization builds the right products by validating customer problems, proposed solutions, and market demand before significant investment in development.
This role serves as a strategic bridge between customers, Product Management, and R&D. The Product Researcher drives evidence-based decision-making, reduces uncertainty around product investments, identifies emerging cybersecurity opportunities, and builds a continuous innovation pipeline that supports long-term business growth.
The product researcher will be reporting to the Chief product research.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Validate customer problems, product hypotheses, and proposed solutions before development investments
- Drive evidence-based Go/No-Go decisions by combining customer insights, market data, and technical feasibility
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, R&D, Architecture, Sales, and Customer Success teams
- Build and manage a continuous pipeline of innovative product opportunities aligned with strategy
- Translate cybersecurity trends, customer needs, and market signals into actionable product recommendations
For that mission you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, or product engineering within complex environments
- Strong ability to evaluate technical feasibility, customer value, and business impact of new product ideas
- Deep understanding of modern software platforms (cloud, SaaS) and cybersecurity domains
- Excellent analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills with a data-driven mindset
- High agility and independence, with the ability to lead rapid validation cycles and drive initiatives end-to-end
