Job Description

As a Senior Product Quality Engineer, you will be the head of the Quality Assurance Team ensuring a seamless Warranty process, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the warranty return process for the company's top product lines, reviewing and analyzing customer warranties for failure mode and responsibility, and funnel projects to reduce the NA Global Warranty Cost. You will communicate trends and lead improvement teams. Assist on process claims for payment and communicate data trends to the organization for continual improvement. This role ensures that all warranty returns are handled efficiently, root causes of quality issues are identified, and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities:

Warranty Returns Management:

  • Oversee the processing of warranty returns for the top 10 product lines.
  • Ensure accurate handling of all warranty returns.
  • Analyze returned products to identify root causes of quality issues.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:

  • Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on returned products.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address identified issues.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and make adjustments as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives within the warranty returns process.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive CI efforts.

Customer Interaction:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and warranty requests.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding warranty issues.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data related to warranty returns and quality issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on warranty return trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of warranty returns and quality processes.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to warranty returns and Test Procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Electrical/Electronic, Industrial, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing or product-based environment.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in quality management system and tools.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE).
  • Experience troubleshooting Automation products or electrical equipment's (Desirable).
  • Experience in handling warranty returns and customer interactions.
