Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with deep expertise in Airline and Travel IT to lead a critical product area.
This role is central to translating customer problems and business vision into actionable, high‑value product increments. The ideal candidate exhibits a strong Product Mindset, thrives in ambiguity, and consistently drives measurable outcomes in a SAFe environment.
You will be the Voice of the Customer, the bridge between business and engineering, and a key contributor to shaping the future of our travel ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Vision & RoadmapShape and evolve the product vision in alignment with Product Management, Business Owners, and ART leadership.
Bring deep domain insight to define customer journeys and industry‑specific requirements.
Transform high‑level concepts into clear, detailed, actionable functional requirements.
Ensure alignment with Finance, Security, Operations, Audit, and cross‑domain teams for end‑to‑end solution integrity.
Own and manage the team backlog—prioritization, refinement, sequencing, and readiness.
Define Features and User Stories using best practices such as vertical slicing and outcome‑driven acceptance criteria.
Balance functional delivery, technical enablers, and architectural runway in partnership with Engineering and Architects.
Leverage AI and internal tools to streamline story writing, requirement validation, and test case support.
Validate and accept completed work against Definition of Done and quality standards.
Actively participate in Daily Scrums, Iteration Planning, Demos, and Retrospectives.
Represent the team in ART‑level ceremonies including PI Planning, PO Sync, ART Sync, and System Demos.
Maintain strong alignment between the team backlog and program‑level priorities.
Contribute to the Product Owner Community of Practice and champion process improvements.
Communicate product value proposition, feature intent, and business outcomes to both technical and customer‑facing teams.
Support go‑to‑market activities including demos, training, pilot readiness, and process documentation.
Anticipate cross‑team dependencies and influence decision‑making in complex business scenarios.
Mentor junior POs, guide best practices, and serve as a reference point for domain expertise.
Deep Expertise in Travel / Airline / GDS / Air Shopping / Booking / Payment flows and related airline flows (mandatory).
Strong experience working in Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe.
Demonstrated Product Mindset—focused on outcomes, customer value, and data‑driven decision-making.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, designers, and customer‑facing stakeholders.
Based in Bangalore with co-location required.
Experience in corporate travel, expense management, or travel payments.
Exposure to AI‑enabled product development workflows.
Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures or large-scale platform modernization.
