The Role

Introduction to the job

Within Development & Engineering, Software Quality & Integration (SQI) department maintains the test infrastructure used by software projects, specifies, executes and controls the testing and integration of the various software deliveries into a software release. The software being developed is deployed to the ASML lithography machines at the customers.

There are three test teams in SQI department. The test teams are responsible to participate in risk assessments, collaborate with product test architects to create new system level regression test scenarios for proper coverage extension, strive to automate all test scenarios to ensure efficient execution. The domain of expertise of the team relevant for this position is system level regression test scope of installation, upgrade/downgrade, configuration and security of the software.

Role and responsibilities

The team is in close collaboration with a large set of stakeholders within and outside of SQI department. To name some of them; EUV and DUV Twinscan business lines (programs), product test architects, D&E software teams, Customer Support (CS) and System Integration (SI). Test scenarios and infrastructure of SQI is used for qualification of software deliveries by a large community with over 2500 active developers and testers.

For this team we are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team and lead development of the test scenarios, tools and configurations, contribute to business objectives and initiatives to continuously improve the quality of ASML products and efficiency of ASML development and test environment.

  • Define and prioritize product features and enablers based on user value, business impact, and technical feasibility to maximize value delivery.
  • Own the long term 6-quarter plan of the team and regularly align the plan with all the stakeholders.
  • Heavily involved in preparing the next Program Increments by aligning, refining and prioritizing the team backlog to match product roadmaps and integration plans.
  • Keep stakeholders informed, manage expectations and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the backlog is well-defined, understood, and ready for development.
  • Collaborates closely with the Scrum Master, Team and Department Architects to balance stakeholder requirements and high-value quality improvements, and with POs of other teams to align long term plans and dependencies.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Embedded Systems or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as Product Owner in a high-tech, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience in managing with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience on system level testing and test management for complex high-technology systems will be a pre, as will be affinity with Unix/Linux, Python, Robot framework.

  • Proven experience working with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
