Position Summary:
The Senior Product Owner plays a critical role in driving the execution of software products within our agile development environment. This position serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams for the Stellantis Financial Services customer portal and customer app (mySFS), ensuring that product features deliver maximum value to customers and align with organizational goals.
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, translating business requirements into actionable user stories, and guiding cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle. They leverage market insights, customer feedback, and data-driven analysis to make informed decisions that optimize product performance and user experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to align backlog prioritization with strategic goals, ensuring effective translation of product management initiatives into executable tasks.
- Break down epics into user stories, arrange and prioritize sprints, and clearly define team goals at each sprint's start.
- Provide demonstrations to both business and technical stakeholders at sprint conclusions, offering a comprehensive overview of progress and facilitating stakeholder feedback.
- Actively participate in evaluating development stages, address development queries regarding story rationale, and contribute to business case documentation for enhanced decision-making.
- Work in tandem with product managers to refine the product roadmap, including developing user personas, journey maps, and a prioritized backlog, while also supporting go-to-market strategies for successful product adoption.
- Manage operational issues through daily triage, collaborate on trade-off decisions, and offer a holistic view on how business processes and system configurations impact user experience.
- Conduct market research, leverage data for insights, and recommend product strategies that align with business objectives and market awareness, ensuring a focus on providing exceptional digital experiences.
- Oversee multiple initiatives at various development stages, analyzing past enhancements for optimization, and represent customer/stakeholder needs to drive feature development and product integrations, identifying opportunities for testing and enhancements.
- The position may necessitate availability for weekend assignments on occasion.

Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, with at least 3-4 years focused on customer-facing digital products (web portals, mobile apps, or self-service platforms).
- 3+ years of experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework, including direct ownership of a product backlog, sprint planning, and prioritization.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, lending, banking, or automotive finance; direct experience with loan servicing, payments, or account management platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience translating business and regulatory requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
- Experience partnering with UX/design teams on customer journey mapping, usability testing, or interaction design for consumer-facing applications.
- Experience working with cross-functional development teams (front-end, back-end, mobile, QA) to deliver features from concept through production release.
- Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Familiarity with compliance and data-handling considerations relevant to regulated financial products (e.g., NPI/PII handling, GLBA, SOX-relevant change controls, accessibility standards such as WCAG).
- Experience defining and tracking product KPIs/OKRs (e.g., adoption, engagement, NPS, self-service deflection rates) to inform roadmap decisions.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
· Experience with customer identity/authentication flows, payment processing integrations, or servicing APIs in a lending context.
· Prior experience at a captive auto finance company, bank, credit union, or fintech serving retail loan customers.
· Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
· Experience with A/B testing or experimentation platforms for digital customer experiences.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
