Division Specific Information:
The Life Science Business Unit within Thermo Fisher MSD provides high-value workflow solutions for biological 3D imaging, ranging from atomic resolution imaging of protein complexes to volume acquisition of cellular compartment structures. Protein 3D structure determination using Cryo-Electron Microscopy Single Particle Analysis (Cryo-EM SPA) is a rapidly growing field, as it pushes the boundaries in the understanding of disease mechanisms, novel therapeutics, and life itself.

To support the growth of electron microscopy, the Life Sciences Business Unit is adding a Senior Product Marketing Manager (Sr. PMM) responsible for Glacios cryo-TEM’s, defining our segment strategy, workflow/product requirements, and accelerating adoption into adjacent markets.
You will engage in cross-functional teamwork to ensure alignment to customer requirements and business objectives. Working closely with customers and internal partners including business development, sales, marketing, finance, and R&D, you will conceptualize and launch innovative solutions.
A Day in the Life:
Assess customer and market needs, develop business plans to expand into new market areas, and monitor business performance including bookings, margins, and market position. Drive improvements in collaboration with business development and marketing teams.
Collect Voice of Customer insights through direct engagement with customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cryo-EM workflows. Develop value propositions, validate them with key customers, and build Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) to guide product development.
Partner with marketing teams to develop go-to-market materials such as presentations, demonstrations, datasheets, and white papers. Support product launches, deliver sales training, and ensure effective execution of marketing strategies.
Develop and execute global and regional go-to-market strategies for adjacent markets. Build relationships with key opinion leaders, support product integration efforts, and contribute to customer engagement through presentations and field activities.
Conduct competitive analysis, market intelligence, and benchmarking to understand trends in the academic TEM segment and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Keys to Success:
Education
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant Life Sciences field
Experience
- Experience in strategic Product Marketing and Business Development
- Experience with end-to-end Cryo-EM workflows in academia or pharma
- Proven track record in developing business cases and managing complex projects
