About GreyLabs AI

GreyLabs AI is building the voice operating system for India’s BFSI. Our Agentic Voice AI platform helps banks, insurers, NBFCs, and fintechs automate and humanise millions of customer conversations - across sales, collections, customer service, and compliance - in multiple Indian languages.

In under two years, we’ve scaled to 50+ enterprise clients, including RBL Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, SBI Life, ICICI Prudential Life, and Motilal Oswal - processing hundreds of millions of conversations. We raised ₹85 Crores in Series A funding led by Elevation Capital with Z47, and were recognised for “Best Use of AI in Fintech” at IFTA 2025

The Role

We're looking for a Director, Product to own a significant portfolio within our Voice AI platform – spanning multiple charters, not just one. You'll set strategy and direction across these charters and be accountable for the outcomes, working closely with the PMs who run them day to day.

You'll work as a peer to our Director of Engineering – co-owning what gets built, in what order, and why. The role suits someone who has already run a product area end-to-end as a senior IC or lead, and is now ready to operate a level up: setting direction across a portfolio, and raising the bar for the PMs working within it, whether or not they sit in your formal reporting line.

What You'll Do

1. Portfolio Strategy & Ownership

  • Own a portfolio, not a single charter: lead strategy and roadmap across multiple product areas (e.g. a set of use-case verticals, or a platform capability plus its adjacent charters), and make the sequencing calls when they compete for the same engineering capacity.

  • Translate company strategy into a roadmap: take GreyLabs' broader bets and turn them into a coherent, prioritized multi-quarter plan that your PMs can execute against.

  • Stay accountable for outcomes: revenue, adoption, and retention within your portfolio are your numbers, even when a PM on your team owns the day-to-day charter.

2. Raising the Bar Across the Portfolio

  • Set the standard for product craft: review discovery, specs, and prioritization calls closely enough to give sharp, specific feedback to the PMs running charters in your portfolio – not just roadmap check-ins.

  • Guide, mentor, and unblock: be the person PMs in your portfolio come to when a call is hard – whether or not they report to you on paper. Formal people-management and appraisal ownership may sit with you or elsewhere, depending on how the team is structured.

  • Set the operating rhythm: define how charters in your portfolio get planned, reviewed, and prioritized – the frameworks that let multiple workstreams run in parallel without chaos.

3. Executive & Enterprise Stakeholder Management

  • Represent product at the top table: run and close discovery with CXOs, operations heads, and compliance leaders at India's largest financial institutions. You should be as credible with a Chief Collections Officer as with an engineer. This role is a heavily customer focussed an influenced role where you will be spending a lot of time with our customers and ensuring that we are co-building the product with them.

  • Partner with engineering leadership: work as a peer to the Director of Engineering and Principal Engineer on architecture trade-offs, sequencing, and build-vs-buy calls – bringing customer and business context into technical decisions.

  • Align leadership and founders: brief GreyLabs leadership on portfolio strategy, risks, and outcomes with the same clarity you'd want from someone reporting to you.

4. Domain Depth: BFSI or Voice AI

  • Know your domain: you bring meaningful depth in at least one of two worlds – BFSI (how banks, NBFCs, fintechs, and insurers actually operate, and what their compliance and operations teams care about) or Voice AI (how conversational AI systems are built, deployed, and fail at scale). Either gives you a head start.

  • Close the gap fast: wherever your depth starts, you close the other side quickly, because Voice AI only creates value in BFSI when you understand both.

5. Organizational Scalability

  • Build the product operating model: as the team grows, help design the processes and norms – how charters get scoped, staffed, and reviewed – that will carry product through GreyLabs' next stage of growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in product management, with a track record of owning more than one charter or a broader portfolio: you've set direction and made trade-off calls across multiple product areas at once, not just executed a single roadmap end-to-end. Experience mentoring or guiding other PMs – formally or informally – is a strong plus.

  • Zero-to-one and scale experience: you've taken a product from early concept to meaningful revenue or adoption in a B2B SaaS or AI-driven environment, and can speak concretely to what you built and what changed because of it.

  • Deep domain expertise in BFSI or Voice AI: a genuine track record in at least one – financial services (banking, NBFC, fintech, insurance) or voice/conversational AI products shipped and scaled in production.

  • Enterprise execution: you've managed complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise rollouts where success meant adoption and workflow change, not just deployment, and you're comfortable and credible in C-level conversations.

  • Clear, direct communicator: you write and speak with precision, and adapt fluently between a boardroom, a customer call, and a spec review with an engineer.

Skills Required

  • 6+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise environments
  • Deep domain expertise in BFSI (banking, NBFC, fintech, insurance) or Voice AI / conversational AI
  • Proven track record owning a product area end-to-end and leading charters
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise rollouts with focus on adoption and workflow change
  • Practical experience with AI products (shipped, worked on, or meaningfully engaged) and understanding of AI vs rule-based systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging CXOs, engineers, and customer teams
