You will work in close collaboration with teams from engineering, design, customer success, and sales to create a product that connects with institutions throughout India and internationally.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of and continuously enhance the product roadmap for the Academics vertical, encompassing aspects such as attendance, timetabling, curriculum management, course registration, class creation, LMS, feedback, surveys, and PhD/research modules.
- Prioritize features and improvements by integrating customer feedback, usage analytics, and current higher education institutional trends.
- Effectively balance immediate customer demands with the long-term vision for the platform, ensuring that all decisions support our growth goals.
- Lead regular discovery sessions with academic administrators, faculty members, and students from partner institutions to identify pain points and unmet requirements.
- Evaluate product usage data, support inquiries, and market insights to uncover gaps and new opportunities for products within the academics vertical.
- Collaborate closely with customer success and sales teams to incorporate the customer’s perspective into every sprint and planning session.
- Convert complex academic workflows into clear, actionable Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories that engineering and design teams can confidently implement.
- Facilitate agile processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across design, engineering, QA, and go-to-market teams to guarantee smooth launches of new features.
- Track adoption, engagement, and outcome metrics following product launches and rapidly iterate based on data and user feedback.
- Maintain a well-organized product backlog, prioritizing tasks that have the greatest impact.
- Serve as the main product liaison for academic module stakeholders, both internally (sales, customer success, engineering) and externally (institutional administrators and faculty).
- Consistently communicate product progress, roadmap priorities, and release schedules clearly to leadership and cross-functional team members.
Requirements
Must Haves
- 4 to 6 years of experience in product management within enterprise SaaS or education technology, with a proven history of delivering B2B SaaS products from start to finish.
- Demonstrated capability to independently manage a product vertical—from initial discovery and roadmap development through execution and post-launch refinement.
- Deep understanding of academic workflows in higher education, including timetabling, curriculum management, learning management systems, attendance, and student lifecycle processes.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills, comfortable utilizing product analytics tools and translating data into actionable product enhancements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to align cross-functional teams around a unified product vision.
- Practical experience working in agile environments, conducting sprint ceremonies, and managing product backlogs.
Good to Have
- Previous experience collaborating with Indian higher education institutions such as universities, deemed universities, or autonomous colleges.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms like Moodle, Canvas, or proprietary systems, as well as academic ERP solutions.
- Experience using product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or equivalents.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
- Background in working with customer-facing teams—including sales, support, and customer success—to collect and act upon institutional feedback.
