Aqua Security is a UNICORN! Founded in 2015, Aqua Security is a global scale-up company. Aqua stops cloud native attacks
The Role
The Senior Product Manager will own the product lifecycle, define strategies, conduct market research, and mentor team members to drive customer value and product adoption.
Summary Generated by Built In

Aqua Security is leading the way in securing modern cloud-native applications across containers, Kubernetes, and serverless environments. As organizations adopt increasingly dynamic infrastructure, runtime visibility and protection have become mission-critical.

We are looking for a Product Manager – Runtime Agent to lead the strategy and evolution of Aqua’s runtime agent technology. In this role, you will own the product direction of one of the most critical components of Aqua’s platform — the agent responsible for collecting deep runtime telemetry and enabling real-time security insights across cloud-native environments.

This is a highly technical product role that sits at the intersection of security, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, research, and customers to design high-performance runtime capabilities that deliver deep visibility while maintaining minimal system overhead.

If you are passionate about low-level systems, cloud security, and building infrastructure products used at scale, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the security posture of the world’s most advanced organizations.

What You’ll Own

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Aqua’s runtime agent technology.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on agent architecture, telemetry collection, and performance optimization.
  • Translate complex runtime visibility and security requirements into scalable product capabilities.
  • Balance deep system visibility with minimal performance overhead in production environments.
  • Define deployment, upgrade, and compatibility strategies across Linux distributions, kernel versions, and cloud environments.
  • Partner with customers, field teams, and research groups to understand evolving runtime security and observability needs.
  • Collaborate with platform and data teams on telemetry pipelines and runtime analytics capabilities.
  • Drive product decisions based on customer feedback, usage data, and market trends.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in cybersecurity, observability, DevOps, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience delivering products that include runtime agents, endpoint sensors, or collectors.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, including processes, system calls, kernel vs user-space interactions, and resource management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with runtime or host instrumentation technologies, such as eBPF, kprobes, uprobes, or ptrace.
  • Experience working with engineering teams building low-level system components or infrastructure tooling.
  • Solid understanding of container environments and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong technical and analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate performance, stability, and resource-usage tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with highly technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with endpoint security technologies (EDR/XDR).
  • Background in observability platforms or telemetry pipelines.
  • Familiarity with kernel instrumentation or tracing frameworks.
  • Experience with agent lifecycle management (deployment, upgrades, configuration, rollback).
  • Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale telemetry collection.
