The Opportunity: 

AssetMark is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of a new customer data platform. In this senior role, you will lead a team of engineers to design and build the datastore, infrastructure and services to create and maintain financial advisor records, product access and application configurations. You’ll be responsible for building all the core client services that enable our financial advisor, investment strategist, sales and investor experiences—a highly impactful role that is foundational to the growth of our business.  

 

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Concord, CA or Charlotte, NC office.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

You Will 

  • Be a senior leader to a team of engineers building our financial advisor and investor data platform and the core infrastructure, data and services that drive them. Empower your team with clear goals, broad autonomy and individual support.  

  • Set the product management culture and quality bar for platform management and level-up the craft across AssetMark. You’ll work extremely closely with operations, sales, engineering, and product management peers to build a platform that is an authoritative source of truth for client interactions. 

  • Set and execute the strategy to make AssetMarks’ platforms highly scalable, reliable and responsive. Concretely, you’ll ensure the advisor data platform is the single source of truth for sales, service, documents and digital experiences.  

  • Translate the strategy into OKRs and a tactical roadmap for your products and capabilities, ensuring that our core capabilities build ahead of today’s product for our future needs.  
    Own key measurements of product performance and develop a measurement feedback loop into the roadmap to enable us to quickly adjust course.  

  • Use your excellent business acumen to guide our business to material multi-year growth. You’ll deeply understand the levers to run and grow our business.  

  • Foster an environment, culture, and rituals that enable your team to execute quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.  

  • Work very closely with our applications partners, supporting operations, relationship managers, investment strategists and other teams to drive alignment on the strategy and roadmap.  

 

You Have 

  • At least 5-8 years of product management experience with a track-record leading high-performing product teams and complex product initiatives 

  • Domain expertise in wealth management, asset management or fintech, owning complete products or major product areas end-to-end 

  • A demonstrable track record developing and executing key strategies that altered the trajectory of a business. You have an excellent toolkit to help teams build their strategic and execution muscles. 

  • High numeracy and bias to data-driven action so you can quickly make product and prioritization decisions to improve the business. 

  • Curiosity, empathy and an irresistible urge to go talk to financial advisors to hear firsthand what they need from us.  

  • Stand out cross-functional collaboration skills, able to build and maintain trust, generate excitement and buy-in for your strategies, and deliver on your promises.  

  • A strong drive to mentor and develop junior product managers, drawing on your experience.

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $142,000-$186,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
